Regenerative braking tailight idea

Regenerative braking tailight idea

I am a new Tesla Model S owner as of about one-month ago. All the bells and whistles Performance 85 Plus+

I have now gotten used to the regenerative braking and LOVE it as far as performance handling with lack of using the brakes as secondary.

I do think a good idea would be for Tesla to introduce a safety feature of adding a small red taillight that would come on when the accelerator is released and regenerative braking goes to the maximum level, say -60. When you are at this level of "braking" without notice to cars following you, more often than not they end up right near the Tesla rear bumper. I think this type indicator would be a good safety feature for Model S.

@ lsmith
All your rear brake lights come on when you pass 30kW of regen already - no need for more lights.

You can verify this easily yourself at night with the rear-view camera on.

No need for rear view camera. Just tap the T tesla symbol at the top. The pic of the car is animated to show brake lights when they come on.
